Tasks and Responsibilities: ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival is seeking amazing employees for our 2019 summer season. We are looking to hire several Festival Coordinators to work with our staff and volunteers to help make this year’s Festival better than ever before. Working with ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival will allow you to be part of an enthusiastic team, who is united in their love for art, theatre, and all things that come with a Fringe community. As part of the Canada Summer Jobs program, each position is an eight week paid contract available to students who are returning to full-time studies in the fall.
Festival Coordinators will be responsible for a variety of actions leading up to and during the festival. These include:
- Communicating effectively with staff, volunteers, artists and patrons
- Providing technical, front of house, box office and production support
- Assisting in festival and event coordination
- Contributing to various arts actions during development, implementation and documentation

- Promoting all ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival events and programs through various channels such as social media or other online platforms, flyering, participating in outreach events, etc.
Additionally this year, our Theater interns will participate in intensive hands-on, theatre creation. The collaborative production process will move from initial idea to public presentation within the eight weeks of the program. The final performance piece will then be presented as part of this year’s festival!
