2025 Fringey X-Tras

2025 Fringey X-Tras

If you thought 10 Fringe shows and 6 Duality offerings were enough, think again! We’ve also got a bunch of extra events we like to call Fringey X-Tras taking place as part of this year’s festival. Keep scrolling down for all the info.

Fringe Pitch Session & Trivia Night

August 5th @ 7:00 pm
Gateway City Brewery – 490 Gormanville Rd, North Bay, ON

This year we decided to combine our love for trivia and our love for fringe and create a Fringe Pitch & Trivia Night to kick off the festival in style! Join us at 7 pm at Gateway City Brewery on Tuesday, August 5th to grab a bevvy, hear about the shows coming to our festival this season from the artists themselves, and to test your fringey knowledge in a game of trivia hosted by Super Fun Time Trivia.

There is no fee to attend, but you do have to buy your own drinks. And it is a brewery, so you should probably leave the kids at home.

Thursday Night After Party

August 7th @ 9:30 pm
La Casa de Maria – 246 First Ave W, North Bay, ON

Join us Thursday night after the Fringe shows at La Casa de Maria for tacos & tequila (or margueritas, or any of the other amazing items on their menu). And don’t forget your dancing shoes, because they will have a DJ on-site all evening to drop the beats.

Play Reading for Seniors

August 8th @ 2:00 pm
WKP Kennedy Gallery – 150 Main St. E, North Bay, ON

There will also be some light refreshments provided, including cornbread from Chicken Kitchen, as well as coffee from Hades Coffee!

Play title: Alone Together, Again by Lawrence Roman

In the hilarious Broadway comedy, Alone Together, Again Mom and Dad have spent the last thirty years raising three active sons. How they looked forward to the peace, the quiet and the privacy of an empty nest. After considerable comic turmoil and revelation of deep feelings, the nest is finally emptied. Peace now? Quiet? Not for long. The empty nest fills up again by the sudden, unexpected arrival of their parents, each with a problem which is dumped on Mom and Dad. How to empty the nest once again so Mom and Dad can be alone together. Cleverly comic, witty and wise. Alone Together, Again has delighted audiences around the world.
