The ON THE EDGE fringe team launched the festival’s “Call for Submissions“ last Friday and had an awesome level of local support. We were able to have guest speakers Dee Adrian of the Capitol Centre as well as Jeff Serran of the Downtown Improvement Area discuss both of their organizations involvement as well as being joined by Theresa Coates and Clayton Windatt who are all members of North Bay’s Cultural Round Table which is the group that helps make recommendations on how the City of North Bay can administer the Cultural Strategic Plan. Another huge benefit was that our MP Jay Aspin was able to join us to discuss the role culture plays in our country and his enthusiasm towards our event and local cultural innovations taking place. Thanks to everyone for coming out and look forward to seeing more as the festival showcase rolls out!
