Got It All Figured Out… Sort Of
Company: SouthPaw Scripts
Written & directed by: John Bressan
New work: Yes
Runtime: 60 Minutes
“Growing up in the shadow of nuclear drills, the Cold War never seemed all that awkward when you were seven. Then again, neither did polyester, lawn darts, or impossible optimism.”
Got It All Figured Out…Sort Of is an irreverent satire that tumbles headfirst through the chaos, contradictions, and cultural whiplash of the 1960s and ’70s — revisiting the life lessons that were supposed to shape a generation and mostly just confused everybody. Told in two acts — “How to Survive a Nuclear Attack in Grade 2 and Make It Home in Time for Dinner”and “The Future Is Ours…Sort Of “— the show delivers an unfiltered look at growing up in the brave new world of boomer idealism, where science could solve everything, authority figures always knew best, and a school desk was apparently adequate protection from nuclear annihilation.
