At a NA meeting, a young man named Paul decided to take the floor and explain the circumstances of addiction and recovery. As his story progresses he goes into the complicated relationships with his family, cycles of abuse, and unloads the shame, anger, and confusion he’s been carrying for years while reflecting the on the complicated nature of “recovering.”
