Why donate to ON THE EDGE Fringe?

At ON THE EDGE Fringe we are dedicated to supporting independent artists and arts practices. Over the last decade, we have had the privilege of providing a platform for more than 100 artists to present their works and share their ideas in our hometown, North Bay, ON. We have returned over $64,000 in ticket sales to Fringe artists, and paid over $55,000 in artist fees for our other programming. We believe that the arts play a crucial role in the health and well-being of every community and every person within a community.

We are an incorporated not-for-profit organization. We rely primarily on public funding to support our activities, but sometimes, that isn’t enough. Costs continue to rise and competition is also increasing. We need to look to other revenue sources to fill the gaps, which is why we’re asking the community we support to give back.

Your financial contribution will help us to keep making things happen in our community. Things like the ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival, Duality, and the Sun Dog Theatre Festival. Your donation, no matter how big or how small, will provide much needed resources to support our artists, staff, programs, and events.
