ON THE EDGE Fringe is partnering with Northgate Shopping Centre to create a one-day Arts Market to showcase the amazing talent the North Bay arts scene has to offer. Check out our call for submissions below to find out more.

ON THE EDGE Fringe Festival is working with Northgate Shopping Centre to coordinate an event that puts artists (that’s you) of all types under the same roof. This event will serve as a platform for the public to discover and meet local artists and arts groups as well as get information about programming, memberships, or purchasing art pieces such as pottery, art prints, jewelry, etc. The market would be located in the old Spirit Halloween store (by the food court). This could be a great launch point and outreach opportunity for less established arts businesses, independent creators wanting to reach new markets, as well as those looking to promote themselves and unite with the arts community of North Bay.

To participate in the event, each artist or arts group will be required to pay $50 + HST to cover the cost of insurance. Participants will be given a table and chairs and are encouraged to bring tangible art pieces to sell. If you are a performer or your work is more on the intangible side, the idea would be to bring posters, pamphlets, or other printed materials to display or hand out to folks who are interested.

Artists and arts groups from all disciplines, backgrounds and experience levels are welcome. The event would take place Saturday, March 23rd from 10am-5pm. The deadline to sign up is Friday, March 15th.
