In the year 2099, a submarine manned solely by Captain Herbert C. Heinlein dives deep beneath the ice, into the vast and unexplored waters of Europa, the sixth moon of Jupiter that it is theorized harbours extraterrestrial life. When his systems suddenly fail, Herbert finds his vessel slowly sinking into the dark abyss and succumbing to the immense pressure of the water. As he begins to discover the horrors within the depths of Europa, he also discovers the horrors within the depths of himself.
